The weeks between Thanksgiving and the New Year are full of activity and can challenge one’s ability to remain grounded and attain restful sleep. Yoga Nidra, the practice of wakeful sleep, is a series of exercises that can be used to help to train the brain to move into a state of relaxation. If you have a difficult time getting to sleep or staying asleep, Yoga Nidra may be helpful.
Many people feel well rested and a sense of wellbeing after practicing Yoga Nidra. Like most practices, it can take time and experience before one attains the ability to move into a state of relaxation.
