In this workshop we will begin with a yin practice the perfect balance to our more active yoga and busy lives. With a slow steady approach, Yin Yoga floor postures are held passively, with awareness and breath, for 2-5 minutes in order to increase the natural mobility of joints, balance the nervous system and nourish the organs. Yin Yoga strengthens the life skill of compassionate observation while riding the waves of sensation. From this open and focused place we will move into the deliciousness of Restorative Yoga – a restful journey of deeper relaxation and healing. With supportive props and breath you easefully sustain poses that allow your to release habitual tensions, soothe your nervous system and deeply relax body and mind.
This progressive practice of yin and restorative yoga will leave your body-heart-mind open, rejuvenated and resilient. Enjoy!
