Jessie is curious about the places where the art, science, and spirituality of movement overlap. She was drawn to yoga initially as a way to compliment her dance practice. While studying dance, she began to understand the transformative power of contemplative movement, making connections between meditation, movement, and breath. She became interested in the role fascial health plays in the body, in our movement possibilities and in our sense of our internal states. These are the connections that compelled her dig more deeply into yoga. Jessie is grateful to continue share and learn. She emphasizes the meditative aspect within all of her movement practices and teaching, in the observance and tracking of sensation and breath.
Jessie completed a 200 hour yoga teaching certification with Evolution PT and Yoga in 2019. She holds a BA in dance from Smith College, and is a certified massage therapist who specializes in Myofascial Release, Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Thai Massage.
