The thoracic spine is your mid back. It consists of 12 vertebrae and has attachments for your ribs. It plays a vital role in spinal alignment. This section of our spine is supposed to be somewhat rounded or kyphotic, but because of all of the sitting and forward bent posturing we assume, many people now have a “hyperkyphosis”. That often leads to many other spinal, head, and shoulder issues.

This workshop will help you identify where you are in your own body and create a home-based yoga practice to unwind some of tension and overuse and to strengthen the weak muscles. Learn some basic functional anatomy so you can begin to practice from the inside out.
