Seasonal shifts bring change within and without. Welcome Winter Solstice in community as we investigate ourselves on the path of turning inward. We’ll use yin poses held on the floor for 1-5 minutes and invite the outer body into stillness. The practice supports the health of joints and specifically the connective tissues of the body through the longer holds. Our sequence will guide us towards the organ of winter, the kidneys, which are responsible for the quality of our energy. Students will be nurtured and challenged to become the witness to their experience which increases self-awareness and can change rooted patterns of reactivity. Deep insight awaits each of us.
Students are asked to gather props at home for the practice such as pillows, blankets, cushions and yoga blocks if you have them.
