The yogic traditions hold deep wisdom around how to improve the mind/body’s ability to cope with stress and anxiety. This practice will focus on improving the nervous system’s ability to move into a parasympathetic state. This will include practices to access the vagus nerve, which controls the balance of sympathetic and parasympathetic activity in the body. Techniques will include gentle yoga asana (poses), pranayama (breathwork) and guided relaxation.
