A big barrier to meditation is also the cause, stress. So, the antidote is to simply relax. Sit or lay comfortably, and begin to breathe slowly and fully. Starting at the toes, mentally and physically relax the toes. Move your way up the foot, into the ankle, up the calves, up the entire legs. Relax. Mentally and physically relax the hips, torso, shoulders, arms, hands, back up the shoulders. Now relax the neck, and finally all of the muscles of the face. Feel the relaxation slow down the moments, and when your ready, slowly open your eyes and notice the benefits of simply relaxing.
