Look Again

Bill and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary (though I feel compelled to add that we log 31 years as a couple). Over a celebration dinner we played a game of each coming up with five surprising things about our marriage. Over two hours, we moved back through time and unearthed these nuggets of gold. I found myself at one point, staring at his face. I looked – and saw the physical man of today. One considerably older, wiser and more accomplished than the hitchhiking musician/adventurer that I met long ago. I looked again – and got a glimpse of the layers of the good times and trials that we’ve been through.
