‘Off The Mat, Into The World’ benefit for Uganda workshop.

The Yoga of Change

Change is an inevitable force in the universe. In this two and a half hour workshop we will explore both the internal and external aspects of change. We will look at  how our Yoga practice can help us to both deal with, and initiate change in a healthy and empowering way. This workshop includes both Yin (passive) and Yang (effortful) Yoga practices  along with chanting and meditation.

Sofi is trying to raise $20,000 by November 2009 for an organization called: Off The Mat, Into The World. Here’s how the money will be spent

80% will go towards their Uganda mission and will be used to:

1) building schools with help of local people

2) starting organic farm

3) building a birthing center for women who are h.i.v. positive

20% will be kicked back to Off the Mat’s domestic projects which involve bring Yoga to at risk youth through out the country.
