Enjoy your Fitness and Reduce Cancer Risk
April 6th, 2009 by Rebecca Boedges
It seems that the topic of cancer has been arising often in conversation lately, and it has affected my immediate family, friends and acquaintances so I thought that I would share this new research. “80% of known risk factors for cancer in the elderly depend on lifestyle choices, including enjoyment of regular exercise.” Did you get that? Enjoyment of regular exercise helps prevent cancer! Of course this is in addition to the usual prescriptions- avoid smoking, stay moderately active, eat well, maintain health care and a positive attitude. So although an illness like cancer is common, as we age it is important to focus on those things that we can control and avoid speculating about those things that we can not control. We have control over choosing exercise that we enjoy and maintaining a positive attitude! Start practicing these traits now- choose fitness that makes your heart sing and cultivate a positive attitude!Exercise and a Positive Attitude Reduce Cancer Risk.
