Arrival at Anahata
The sun has set, my belly is full and my body is exhausted. I’ve just completed my first 24 hours at Anahata in Bali. Where to begin? Returning to Bali after three years is a fabulous reunion with old friends and an introduction to new ones. I was sitting at dinner tonight with six people, all from different countries. That’s the brilliance of this training. We are 14 unique individuals from a variety of yoga teaching backgrounds, diving into ourselves, our teaching, and our spiritual development.
Tucked in the interior of Bali, down winding roads, past terraced rice fields, sits Anahata Resort. Named after the heart chakra, Anahata has been my home in Bali for my Vibrant Living Yoga experience. After a hot and sweaty 2.5 hour yoga class, we are served the most sumptuous raw feast. Those of you who have travelled in Asia, know the flavors of fresh mangosteen, papayas and mangos that bless this part of the world. I’ve included some photos of the food here, because it is just as beautiful, as it is delicious. The best part is the raw chocolate after each meal.
Yesterday I headed down to the river with two of my Villa-mates. We crossed the swirling current, climbed up some slippery rocks and swam in a cool pool of water underneath a waterfall. This is true Bliss.
More to come soon, but for now I need to drag my weary body to bed.
Shanti,
Janet
