Anusara Moment- Time and Change
Kali, the H
indu Goddess of Destruction, brings on the elements of time and change and things start to crumble all around.
Depicted as black and naked except for a necklace of 50 human heads, she des
troys everything in her path and dances on the rubble.
In my 30s, I ranted and raved when Kali visited. I saw her as ravaging away jobs and opportunities; health and peace of mind. Now, in my 50s, I see why these things had to go.
What will Kali take next? How will the forest fire of her energy sweep over the plains of life? Mother Kali doesn’t shelter us, her children. She throws us into the flames so that allusions, attachments and defects are burned out.
We emerge lighter, full of Grace. A scorched earth that sends up new green shoots. No longer afraid of death since we have experienced it already. A fullness of Being arises.
